The Siena College Research Institute (SCRI) partnered with AT&T and the Tyler Clementi Foundation to gather primary data from students in grades 7-12 and from their parents/guardians to assess problems, threats, effects, and attitudes towards interventions as they relate to teen internet and smartphone behavior. In partnership with AT&T and the Tyler Clementi Foundation, the Siena College Research Institute will administered online surveys to both parents and students in several school districts throughout New York State.
The study found that approximately one in four teens in Upstate New York reported experiencing some form of online bullying.
